In the world of design, Autodesk is probably one (if not the) largest company out there as they have a wide variety of premium and industry leading design software that can be used in just about any industry. Inventor being one of their CAD software used for product design, tooling creation, mechanical design, allows you to create products quickly and push them out to many platforms. In this course, we get you started with creating manufacturable parts and assemblies that you can easily turn into a real life object(s). We also teach you how to prepare detailed drawings that you can send to anyone for review and/or manufacture. You will learn everything from creating your first 2D sketch in the 3D environment making sure it is fully dimensioned and constrained before turning it into an actual 3D digital object using the extrude or revolve commands. Then you will learn the various different tools used to modify your object to meet your design specifications such as creating drilled and taped holes as well as cuts of any shape or size. Next you will take all your parts and turn then into a group of assembled parts (as needed). And lastly you will be able to generate a 2D specification drawing within Inventor with the proper views and placement for each individual part, as well as a bill of materials / parts list for your assembly. As a bonus you will learn best industry standard practices to ensure all your parts are praised highly when received by other designers. All this can be achieved in just 30 days, but we invite you to learn at your own pace. You are welcome to revisit any lesson more than once for clarification to ensure the ultimate level of success.
